A simple, reliable setup: an RFID sticker on each kart — just like FASTag on a car — and a single reader at one point on your track. That's all it takes.
All timing is processed locally. No cloud dependency for lap detection. No expensive imports. No custom duty.
Three components. That is all there is to it.
A passive RFID sticker (similar to FASTag) is fixed to each kart. No battery. No wiring. No maintenance. Each sticker has a unique ID that the system maps to that kart number.
A single RFID reader is installed at one location on your track — typically the start/finish line. Every time a kart passes, the reader detects its tag and sends a timestamped record to the local software.
KartTrack software runs on a local machine at your track. It calculates lap times, updates the live leaderboard, and pushes results to screens — all instantly, with no internet dependency for timing.
Each kart gets a passive RFID sticker — the same technology used in FASTag highway toll collection. It requires no battery, no charging, and no wiring. It is simply stuck to the kart body. Each sticker contains a unique identifier that the system permanently maps to that kart's number. If a sticker gets damaged, replacing it costs a fraction of a rupee in comparison to proprietary transponders.
A single RFID reader is installed at one fixed point on the track — usually the start/finish straight. When any kart passes through the reader's detection zone, it reads the tag ID and logs a precise timestamp to the millisecond. The reader communicates with the local KartTrack PC via USB or local network — no internet required for detection.
KartTrack software runs on a standard Windows PC at your track. It receives the raw timestamps from the reader and calculates each kart's lap time by comparing consecutive passes. The leaderboard updates live on connected screens in your lobby. Because everything is processed locally, lap times appear the instant the kart crosses the line — no internet lag, no outage risk.
The live leaderboard shows every kart's current position and best lap time on screens around your track. Once a session ends, each customer automatically receives their full lap-by-lap breakdown on WhatsApp. This receipt doubles as a marketing touchpoint and silently grows your customer database with every race.
Expensive imported systems like AMB/MyLaps use proprietary transponders designed for motorsport championships. KartTrack uses RFID technology that is purpose-built and cost-optimised for recreational karting in India.
